As we celebrate five years of legal transformation together, I want to thank each of you for the confidence and collaborative spirit you bring to our community.
In these turbulent times, the importance of our mission—to accelerate change in the legal field—cannot be overstated. As we navigate these challenging moments, it is essential to remember that our collective efforts in advancing the digitalization of our field play a crucial role in preserving the rule of law.
As mentioned in the previous newsletter, Sitra and Teknologiateollisuus ry hosted a breakfast networking event on Regulatory Technology on February 2. RegTech has high expectations, especially from small and medium-sized enterprises that need tools to boost innovative business and comply with new data economy rules and sustainability requirements. The event brought together key players in the field to explore how companies can join forces to succeed. Our next event, hosted by Linnunmaa Lex, will offer us all an opportunity to delve deeper into this topic.
I also encourage you to read an excellent post by Sari Korhonen, which examines the current era of increasing regulation and technological development, from challenges to collaborative solutions.

FutureLaw 2025 – Welcome to the Future of Legal Innovation!
FutureLaw 2025, Europe’s largest legal innovation conference, will take place on May 29-30, 2025. Legal Tech Glögit 5-year Anniversary
In celebration of five years of driving legal transformation, Legal Tech Glögit marked a milestone on January 16, 2025, with a memorable anniversary event in Helsinki hosted by Ilves. The network, which has become a vital force in Finland’s growing legal tech community, reflected on its journey and progress.
The event featured insights from Heikki Ilvessalo, one of the network’s founders, and Helena Hallgarn, who introduced Sweden’s new chapter of the network, further solidifying the growing Nordic collaboration.

AI Nativeness vs. Grey Hairiness
In January 2025, Bird & Bird Sweden hosted a Legal Transformation Network event on the “AI Nativeness vs. Grey Hairiness”, which featured a dynamic discussion on how AI is reshaping legal practices, with a particular focus on the generational divide between “AI natives” and more experienced professionals navigating the shift.
